Mini Rise

Mini Rise

The “mini-maxellar sinus lift” is a surgical procedure used in dental implantology to increase the space available in the upper part of the jaw for the insertion of dental implants. This procedure is often performed when the amount of alveolar bone in the back of the upper jaw is insufficient or when the maxillary sinus is too close to the area where you want to place the implant.

The process usually involves the following:

  1. Anesthesia: The patient is locally anesthetized to ensure a pain-free procedure.

  2. Incision: An incision is made in the gum to access the jaw bone.

  3. Sinus elevation: Using specialized instruments, the surgeon creates a space between the floor of the maxillary sinus and the sinus membrane. This space is filled with bone graft material, which can be taken from other areas of the body or be of synthetic origin.

  4. Insertion of the implant: Once the bone graft material has been positioned, we wait for the healing period during which the sitant bone can integrate with the graft material. Next, the dental implant can be inserted into the newly strengthened bone.

This procedure creates firmer, high enough bone at the top of the jaw to support the dental implant. After complete recovery, dental implants can be used as anchors for dental prosthetics, such as crowns or bridges, to replace missing teeth.

It is important to undergo this procedure by an experienced oral surgeon or implantologist, which involves manipulation of the maxillary sinus structures and requires careful planning and execution. The choice of this procedure depends on your individual needs and the evaluation of your doctor or dentist.
